GTC Dinner Theater performances include 3 short 1-act plays.

Auditions will be held in groups on Friday, July 12th at the following times:

5:00 PM:   Must the Show Go On?

5:30 PM:   Can’t You See We’re Acting?

6:00 PM:   Ladies on Vacation

Please note: Dinner Theater is unique in providing an opportunity for our audience to get to know our cast. If you audition for a role, you agree that when you are not performing on stage, you will be serving our audience at the tables. Serving will include presenting three courses (salad, entree, and dessert), removing crockery, providing drinks, and answering questions.

Other areas of need: Not all important roles in a successful production are easily visible to the audience. We also need fantastic people willing and excited to help out backstage and front-of-house as well!

These roles include:

Production Assistant

Stage Manager

Props Director

Stage Director

Stagehands

Kitchen Help

Wait Staff

Please contact us if you (or someone you know) can volunteer to serve GTC in any of these areas! THANK YOU!

STEP 1: Review the show synopses below, and click on each show title to open the audition materials. Print and learn the audition materials for the part(s) you are interested in.

SHOW #1: Must the Show Go On?

Everything goes wrong on opening night. The four actors persevere despite a senile old man in the tech booth, a “costume malfunction”, a prop gun that doesn’t fire, and a sneezing corpse!

Note: All actors must be able to speak with a British accent.

   SHOW #2: Can’t You See We’re Acting?

Three older people create havoc from their front-row seats as they unwrap pieces of hard candy, snore, and make loud comments in the midst of a dramatic play. Will the distraught actor’s offer of a ticket refund help save the show?

   SHOW #3: Ladies on Vacation

Six Ladies go on vacation and rent a condo with only one bathroom and two towels. From trying to get all of their luggage into one minivan, deciding who sleeps where and what to eat, to finally selecting the activities, life gets wild and silly – all intensified by lack of sleep.

STEP 2: Print and complete the Audition Form. Bring this with you to your audition.

STEP 3: Schedule your audition.

Interested in auditioning for more than one part or show?
Fantastic! Please note that you will need to schedule each audition separately for each part you’re auditioning for.
