Friends and Family of GTC,

As of last night, March 19, 2024, the Board of Directors accepted the formal resignation of the Founder and President of the company, Cory Snyder.

We want you to know as soon as possible, because you are a part of the GTC family and have supported GTC for many years. Whether you are young or old in our family, newly arrived or a long-standing family member, it’s important to us that you understand where we are at and where we want to go.

Cory is an excellent director and visionary whose talents, training, and mentorship to the GTC Family has brought forth many incredible productions to the stage. As such, the Board is in agreement with Cory’s decision to resign while simultaneously in the process of drafting a dedicated position of “Creative Director” to present to Cory. It is our hope that this new streamlined opportunity will allow her to realize even more success and creative outflow for many seasons to come with you, our GTC community.

The word community is a combination of the words common and unity. We love that theater gives us such a beautiful opportunity to gather together over something we all deeply cherish! GTC was created to be a community theater company by the people, for the people. And that’s includes you. As a board, it is our desire to deepen the roots GTC was founded on, providing more opportunities to help people grow both on stage and off.

We understand that along with such transitions can come challenging questions and opportunities for clarification, so we will be hosting a ‘Town Hall’ style meeting on Monday, April 1st at 6:45pm at the Junction City Community Center to further discuss both this topic and to gather feedback on what we all want the future of GTC to look like – for everyone.

Thank you so much for your passion and dedication for GTC throughout the years. We look forward to partnering with you for many more to come.

-Your GTC Board of Directors
